Follow the instructions on the update guide.
If updating from CL V1.61 or older, or if the message “NAME SUB CPU NEEDS FIRMWARE UPDATE” appears after updating to V3.11, copy "CL-MD101.BIN" file in \CL*_firm311/NAME SUB (* is the model number) to the root directory of the USB memory. This method allows you to update both the firmware and the "CL_SUBP_V310.BIN" and "MCLP3_11.PGM" files together at the same time. You can now update the Dante firmware for CL also by using the USB memory starting from this version. You also need to update the Dante firmware if you update the CL firmware to V3.11 from V2.04 or older. Copy files "CL_SUBP_V310.BIN" and "MCLP3_11.PGM" to the root directory of the USB memory. 
Use the "cl*_firm311-2.zip" (* is the model number) when updating.
Please read the following instructions before updating. Use this file to update CL5/3/1 to V3.11.
